    Through our partnership program, Majestic Aviation can help you learn the fun, excitement, and challenges of flying a tail wheel aircraft. You must possess a pilot certificate already and be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. The FAA sets no minimum training time for this endorsement. The FAA defines a complex aircraft as one that has controllable pitch propeller, flaps, and retractable landing gear. You must possess a pilot certificate already and be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. The FAA sets no minimum training time for this endorsement. Therefore, you train with your instructor until you reach proficiency within all areas of operations with the aircraft and your instructor will endorsement you logbook.

  • High Performance Endorsement

    Through our partnership program, Majestic Aviation can help you learn the fun, excitement and challenges of flying a fast high performance aircraft. The FAA defines a a high performance aircraft as one that has over 200 horsepower. You must possess a pilot certificate already and be able to read, write, understand, and speak English. The FAA sets no minimum training time for this endorsement. Therefore, you train with your instructor until you reach proficiency within all areas of operations with the aircraft and your instructor will endorsement you logbook.

What is a Discovery Flight?

A Discovery Flight is a session which allows the student to get a feel for flying, see if he or she enjoys it, and whether or not the school is a good fit. This initial lesson includes 30 to 60 minutes in the air (the majority of that time the student will be piloting the plane) and 30 minutes of valuable ground instruction and the processing of the necessary paperwork.

During the ground instruction, the instructor will go over the lesson plan for the flight and the student will learn the parts of the aircraft, how they work, and safety features for the flight. They will also learn how to pre-flight the aircraft. The student will learn to go through the checklist to start the engine and will be able to taxi to the runway.

The instructor will do the take-off and at about 500 feet in the air, the student will gain the controls. The student will then climb up to about 3,000 feet and at that altitude will learn positive flight control operations, turns, climbs, descents, and straight and level flight. When it is time to head back to the airport, the instructor will do the landing and taxi back to our hangar.

At the end of the flight the student will use the checklist to shut the aircraft down. After the flight the student will receive a log book with their flight time recorded and this time never expires. The time flown can go towards a private pilot certificate if you choose to continue lessons.

We charge $100 for a 30 minute Discovery Flight and $149 for a 60 minute Discovery Flight

We use an FAA approved flight simulator for portions of the private pilot, instrument rating, and currency trainings. Simulator use is $59 per hour, but we offer a 2 hour block for $100.
